During a meeting at the Istana Palace, both leaders agreed to deepen the pillars of cooperation, especially in politics, economy, security, defense, education and training of high-quality human resources, especially strategic cadres and managers.

They also agreed on the need to promote people-to-people exchange and tourism, promote initiatives on maritime connectivity, as well as strengthen collaboration in new sectors in accordance with the so-called Industry 4.0.

Minh Chinh and his host equally agreed to work together to build a strong, supportive and sustainable regional community, and to ensure the central role and common position of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on regional and international issues, including the South Sea. This.

Yacob, on the other hand, highlighted the activities in the Indochina nation of the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP), classifying them as a successful model of cooperation between the two countries, and thanked the Vietnamese government for creating a favorable environment for operations. of Singaporean companies.

In this regard, and according to press reports, Minh Chinh expressed his support for the development of green, intelligent and energy-saving VSIPs, and advocated the multiplication of this model in other locations.

As part of his activities here, the Vietnamese head of government today laid a wreath on the bust dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh at the Asian Civilizations Museum and visited the Singapore Botanic Garden.

On his first day of stay, the day before, the prime minister spoke with officials and representatives of the community of compatriots, to whom he assured that Vietnam considers compatriots residing abroad as an inseparable part of the great national unity and one of the forces drivers for the development of the country.
