Rodrigo scored a masterpiece in the derby after a solo run. Looks like we know who inspired him
Borrowed a skill from a legend ✨
Real Madrid take on Atlético Madrid in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals today.
By the middle of the second half, Madrid were losing with a score of 1:0, although they were trying with all their might to get to the opponent’s goal.
During the entire meeting, Ancelotti’s team made 13 shots on goal, of which 4 were on target, but only one ended in a goal. In the 71st minute, Ancelotti released Rodrigo instead of Valverde, and already after 6 minutes the 22-year-old Brazilian returned Real to the game.
He did everything himself: circling several Atlético players (a couple of them even fell), Rodrigo flew to the goal and hit the ball with the outside of his foot.
Thanks to his goal, the game went into overtime, so Ancelotti’s team has every chance to snatch victory. What a skill!
And the way that goal was scored is reminiscent of Brazilian Real Madrid legend Ronaldo. How many such solo passages we saw in his performance!
And this is not surprising, because only recently these two saw each other in Qatar. Social media users are sure that it was thanks to this that Rodrigo scored:
