    La influencia rusa en América Latina aumenta considerablemente a pesar de las sanciones económicas

    Las sanciones impuestas este año por EE.UU. y la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte (OTAN) contra Rusia por su operación militar especial en Ucrania no lograron que América Latina se distanciara de Moscú. Por el contrario, varias naciones de la región se acercaron aún más.

    Distintas autoridades y líderes políticos de América Latina han manifestado incluso, en entrevistas exclusivas con la Agencia Sputnik, su interés en incrementar las relaciones con Rusia a pesar de las sanciones y presiones de EE.UU. para acorralar a Moscú.

    «Los paquetes de sanciones generados por la OTAN, EEUU y la Unión Europea (UE) no han sido tan efectivos como pensaban sus ejecutores. Se produjeron dos fenómenos: por un lado, han fracasado porque los contactos comerciales y de cooperación con América Latina no han disminuido.     Durante la cumbre del Mercosur (Mercado Común del Sur) que tuvo lugar en Asunción a fines de julio de este año, la Agencia Sputnik logró entrevistar a los cancilleres Rogelio Mayta, de Bolivia, y Julio César Arriola, de Paraguay, quienes no dudaron en señalar a Rusia como un país atractivo para la inversión y el comercio a pesar de las sanciones.

    El 14 de diciembre, Venezuela y Moscú firmaron 11 nuevos acuerdos en el marco de la XVI reunión de la Comisión Intergubernamental de Alto Nivel.

    Estas naciones mantienen 326 instrumentos en las áreas comercial, técnica, militar, energética, agrícola, alimentaria, de transporte, científica, tecnológica y de salud pública.

    Nurse sued for falsifying vaccines
