Artur Beterbiev will defend three belts against Anthony Yarde: online boxing evenings at Wembley
What to read before a fight?
• What happened the day before: weigh -in, sterdown , press conference ;
• Artur Beterbiev has been living in Canada for 10 years: he got a passport, calls his English collective farm and considers Russia his home;
• Oops, once at the Beterbiev fight the organizers mixed up the anthem of Russia and the USSR.
What do you need to know before the fight?
Artur Beterbiev is still the undefeated light heavyweight champion. 18 out of 18 fights are knockout wins. In June 2022, he fought against Joe Smith Jr., won by TKO in the second round and now owns three belts – WBC, IBF and WBO.
Beterbiev’s new opponent is Anthony Yarde, who has lost twice in eight professional fights but is now on a three-win streak. The debut defeat was from Sergey Kovalev in 2019. Now Beterbiev will fight for the first time in London at Wembley.
Perhaps the Yard will be a boost for Beterbiev before the fight for the title of absolute world boxing champion against Dmitry Bivol, who has a WBA belt. The Beterbiev team confirmed the following scenario: “I admit that for Bivol the fight with Artur could be much more interesting than the revenge against Saul Alvarez. The fight with Bivol could take place at the end of 2023.”
Estimated start time of the fight between Arthur Beterbiev and Anthony Yard is 23:00 Moscow time. We will be streaming online!
